Conducting research increases my knowledge on my field of interest. It inspires me to do some innovation for the betterment of future generation. My research interest includes on embedded system, power electronics, computer networks and microcontrollers. Applications of some of my research focus on the developing some technology and machines.

Embedded system is the core foundation of all the research that I have made. For I believe that embedded system is the future of modern technology. Almost everywhere, technology in this generation evolved in embedded system. Applications of power electronics and computers became more advanced and efficient when it is being adopted with embedded system.

To conduct research requires time and effort to have a successful and memorable research experience. It takes me 15 hours per day until the research is finish. Some of my researches take 2 years until it is accomplish. But the secret of a successful research is enjoying and giving more time on your research work.

While working in ADAMA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY in Ethiopia, Africa I have a lot of research pertaining agricultural sector. I was able to help there agricultural engineer develop a technology that will help the farmers improve their ways of farming style. We develop an automated irrigation system with the aid of existing resources of the country. And lately, I was able to conduct a research on improving the business establishment with the aid of the existing technology of the country to make money. And the security and building management system that can be used by the different establishment of the country. In this system the power and security system can be controlled remotely using different communication system that is available in the country. It is really fun to do some research. It is not the matter of focusing your field of specialization when you graduated your degree in order to conduct research. But it is based on the problems that you encountered in the area and provide some solutions to that problem in order to improve people’s life. By using the different resources available in the area, this problem can be solved, and this is what I called research.

Vinyl Ho Oquino received his B.S in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Electrical Engineering degrees from Eastern Visayas State University in 1996 and 2004, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D in Technology Management degree from Cebu Technological University in 2011. He is a license Registered Electrical Engineer and a member of IIEE Philippines. Since 1997, he works as a developer of different innovative systems while teaching in a university.
